ID : 51
« back to classes page
CourseGraphic Learn to see the world around you, not just look at it. Create better photographs rather than just taking pictures. Photographic composition is deciding what fits in to the frame. We’ll spend each day creating photos around the SSU campus, where you’ll learn to better use your camera to capture what you want with a few basic camera controls and settings to get it right in the camera. We will explore the landscape and cityscapes, botanicals, animals, “street photography”, portraits (including selfies), and more. Then you’ll catalog your photographs and use simple post-production techniques to make them uniquely yours! At the end of the week you will have basic mastery of your camera and a slide show of photographs to share with friends and family! You’ll be creating photographs on the very first day, so be sure to bring a digital camera (charged!), extra battery and/or charger, memory card(s), a USB cable for connecting to the computer, your User Manual (either hard copy or pdf), and a flash drive or two (min. 32GB).
