ID : 44
« back to classes page
CourseGraphic Take an adventure into the deep blue sea! Discover the depths of the ocean right on the SSU campus by using virtual reality headsets, and see the ocean through the eyes of experienced scuba divers! Examine the internal and external anatomy of sea creatures including squid, sea cucumbers, sea stars, sea anemones, and much more. Use a microscope to observe some of the tiniest creatures in the ocean. Study the challenges of living in the marine environment, and learn the creative and often odd ways sea creatures feed, grow, and reproduce. You’ll even build a model ROV (remotely operated vehicle) and test it in the SSU pool to understand how scientists explore the ocean. Parent drivers are needed for a fieldtrip to Bodega Bay Marine Laboratory.
