Description: Human Resource Management Certificate Program
The SSU Human Resource Management Certificate Program, teaches the skills and knowledge required to successfully manage human resources in today's complex business environment. The program is a 12 week intensive course covering the main aspects of Human Resource Management. Rather than using only one instructor for the course, multiple instructors with significant professional expertise lead each of the weekly topics to impart professional knowledge and practical application of HRM concepts. The program is of value to a wide range of individuals. From HR professional preparing for the SPHR/PHR or SHRM certification exams, line managers, and small business owners, to a prospective HR professional seeking to establish a career in the HR field. No prior experience or education is required. The certificate program is sponsored jointly by the School of Business and Economics and the School of Extended and International Education at Sonoma State University. SSU is designated as a Preferred Provider and is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. The program is also endorsed by the Personnel Association of Sonoma County (PASCO).
