Overview of assessment and instructional practices utilized in early childhood special education. Conduct developmentally appropriate assessments. Acquire a repertoire of developmentally appropriate instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and other supports for young children in natural and inclusive environments. Design and implement interventions that address specific learning needs, are developmentally, culturally, and individually appropriate and reflect family concerns and priorities. Prerequisites: Admission to Early Childhood Special Education Added Authorization (ECSE-AA) program OR MA program; Concurrent enrollment in EDSP 523B for students in ECSE-AA.
