Do you like reading graphic novels? Have you ever thought about writing your own? The modern graphic novel has come a long way since your grandfather’s comic books! Writing a Graphic Novel is a workshop designed to get you started on your own graphic novel. First, we’ll examine Manga, comics, graphic novels, and picture books for examples of the many different ways to tell a story using illustration and words. Then we’ll go step by step through the process of scripting, storyboarding, pacing, and layout. And finally, you’ll become the director, using cinematic and theatrical techniques to add emotion, drama and humor to your graphic masterpiece. No drawing experience necessary!
