This course will guide students through an exploration and discussion of emerging topics for the H.R. professional. H.R. is a fast-changing field, and there are many changes and challenges in the world of work. The area of data analytics is enabling H.R. professionals to measure why things are occurring in the organization at a higher speed than before. Nowadays, more focus is being placed on H.R. professionals to be strategic, creating innovation centers at work, and ensuring a healthy culture. H.R. needs to move from just recruiting to marketing and branding strategies for the organization to attract and hire a new workforce. The modern workforce is expecting to have more flexibility in their work independent of time and place and also assuming that work will bring them meaning and enjoyable experiences. For organizational sustainability, leaders need to put people first and apply a humanistic approach to enable them to enjoy their work. Additionally, this course will allow students to discuss, research, and contribute ideas in specific areas that affect how people are working now and in the future.

This program will enable new ideas that can apply outside of class.
